UNITY IS STRENGHT

An old man lived with his four sons in a
village. The old man was worried. His sons were always quarelling with each
other. He had tried telling them many times to avoid fighting. But his sons
would not listen to him. One day, he called his four sons. He gave them a small
bundle of sticks, and asked them to break the bundle into two. The bundle was
made of four sticks. “It is child’s play,” said the eldest son. He took the
bundle and tried to break it. He was surprised that the sticks in the bundle
remained intact. He used more force. He tried again and again. He started
panting for breath. The bundle would not break. He gave up. Then his brothers
tried to break the bundle of four sticks without success. Their father smiled
and asked them to untie the bundle. He asked each brother to take one stick and
try to break it. Each of the sons took a stick in hand. In no time, the sticks
were bent and broken. “A single stick is easily broken. If four sticks come
together it is impossible to break them,” said the old man, giving his sons a
meaningful look. This time the lesson went home. The brothers stopped fighting
each other. They would work together as a team and succeed in doing whatever
work was given to them. The four boys
had discovered that unity is strength.
We
can understand that unity bring peace, happiness and success. Being combined a
lot of complicated tasks can easily be done by short time. This we experienced
in our capacity building programmes. We could perform well, even in a short
span of time. I would like to recollect about our community living camp. It was SAMAYOGA 2019. From this itself we can
understand that how unity is important in any group activities.
As future teachers it is our responsibility to
make our students accept each and every individual. So teachers become role
model among the teachers also the students.
So celebrate unity celebrate diversity.
Thank
you......................

HEALTH EDUCATION - PHYSICAL EDUCATION
PHYSICAL EDUCATION
HEALTH EDUCATION
HEALTH
Health, as defined by the World Health Organization (WHO), is "a state of complete physical, mental and social well-being and not merely the absence of disease or infirmity."
HEALTH EDUCATION
Health education is any combination of learning experiences designed to help individuals and communities improve their health, by increasing their knowledge or influencing their attitudes. Health education teaches about physical, mental, emotional and social health. It motivates students to improve and maintain their health, prevent disease, and reduce risky behaviors. Health education curricula and instruction help students learn skills they will use to make healthy choices throughout their lifetime.
IMPORTACE OF HEALTH EDUCATION
Health education is important to teach children awareness about living a healthy lifestyle. Health education encompasses social, mental, physical and social health.Health education teaches people of all ages about how diet and exercise contribute to a healthy lifestyle. It also encourages positive changes in behaviour and lowers the risk of addiction to drugs, alcohol and unsafe sexual practices. The majority of schools around the country have courses aimed at teaching health education to students. These courses often revolve around the body, healthy eating, sex and exercising. Some students are taught basic health and physical fitness early on. More in-depth courses are designed for middle and high school students.

Many are the blessings of imparting health education. Health education enables a person to remain physically fit and in proper health.A healthy person can enjoy life fully. He can carry out his duties in a responsible manner. He is an asset to the family, the society and to the entire nation. He is always full of energy. He lives a long and happy life. A healthy peasant is happier than a monarch without health.Health education encourages a person to make healthy choices. They are instructed to avoid unhealthy habits. ‘A sound mind lives in a sound body’. Rabindranath Tagore and C.V. Raman , if they were confined to sick bed, could not have won the Nobel Prize. In fact, a sickly student with all his talents and abilities lags behind in the race of life.Health education also teaches about the emotional and mental health of the student. A healthy person is the happiest person in the world.

CONCLUSION
Health education is a profession of educating people about health. Areas within this profession encompass environmental health, physical health, social health, emotional health, intellectual health, and spiritual health, as well as sexual and reproductive health education.Health education can be defined as the principle by which individuals and groups of people, learn to behave in a manner conducive to the promotion, maintenance, or restoration of health. However, as there are multiple definitions of health, there are also multiple definitions of health education. The Joint Committee on Health Education and Promotion Terminology of 2001 defined Health Education as "any combination of planned learning experiences based on sound theories that provide individuals, groups, and communities the opportunity to acquire information and the skills needed to make quality health decisions."
